Recital

            Recital Tickets on sale beginning Monday, April 14 at the studio:  General admission, two free tickets per family, three additional tickets available at $10.00 each. Cash or make checks out to Pat Smith. 

            Location:  Dorrance Hall, (see map in studio) Phoenix Country Day School, 3901 E Stanford Dr 

            Date and Time:  3:00-4:00 Sunday, May 18, 2008.

           

            Day of the show procedures:  Performers arrive at 2:30 report to class parent in designated area.  Pick up after performance will be in the same location unless advised otherwise.  Wear costume, make up on, and hair styled, with t-shirt over, headpieces, props and shoes in a bag, and names on all items.  Students stay with their class parent for the entire length of show.  No parents or friends are permitted on the stage or dressing room area at anytime.

 

            Mandatory Dress Rehearsal (see attached page for performance order and class parents)

            Location:  Phoenix Country Day School

            Date:  May 17, 2008

            Time:  dancers performing before intermission 1:00-3:15

                        dancers performing after intermission:  2:45-5:00 

            Procedure:  Class Parents chaperone, meet class in designated area and all follow same procedures as performance including costume, make up, and hair.  No food or drinks.

 

            Extra Practice run-through schedule at the studio (no costumes).  Class parents please attend.

Saturday, May 3:

            Rock Around the Clock- stay after class until 1:00pm

            Born to Hand Jive- 11:50-1:00

            We Got the Beat- 12:15- 1:00 

Wednesday, May 7:

            5 Foot 2- stay after class until 6:50

            Bicycle Built for Two- 5:50-6:50

            Chattanooga Choo Choo- 5:50-6:50

            Good ship Lolipop-5:50-6:50

Wednesday, May 7: Headstart audience may watch practice

            Costume Arrival and Care:  Costumes have arrived.  They must be carefully put away so that wrinkles relax and so that students do not play with them.  No ironing since many fabrics could melt.

 

            DVD (included in recital fee):  It is $20, payable to Pat Smith for each additional DVD.   Place your order on clip board in the studio. Pick up recital DVDs at the studio beginning June 12^th.  

 

            Tentative Fall Schedule is posted and final draft will be available by May 1^st.  Register by May 15 and save $25 fee.

Summer One Week Dance Camps:  age 7-12, 9:00-2:45, Monday-Friday, $225 ($100 deposit due May 15).  Beginning through advanced/beginning study of Ballet, Jazz/Hip Hop, Tap, Tumbling, enriched with dance activities, ethnic dance taught by guest staff culminates with an in-studio showing.  Students bring a brown bag lunch.

Broadway Bound:  June 16-20

Hollywood Stars:  June 23-27
